April 10, 2023: End of the school year medication pick up:
If your child has any medication in the school clinic, please make plans to pick up their medication at the end of the school year. Emergency use medications such as Epinephrine, Albuterol, seizure medications, and diabetic medication and supplies should remain at school until dismissal on the last day of school which will be Thursday, June 15, 2023. Medication cannot be sent home with students, it must be picked up by an adult. Any medication that remains after 3:00 pm on June 15th will be disposed of by PWCS staff. If you are not sure if your child has medication in the clinic, please email me at [email protected] or call me at 703-468-2795. As we get closer to the end of the school year, a reminder will be sent home to parents of all students who have medications in the clinic.

Health Promotion
Please remember to cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze and throw used tissues in the trash. If you don't have a tissue, cough or sneeze into your elbow, not your hands. Wash hands often with soap and water for 20 seconds, dry hands with a paper towel, and use the paper towel to turn off the faucet. If soap and water are not available, hand sanitizers may also be used to perform hand hygeine. Remember to stay home when you are sick until at least 24 hours have passed without a fever and without the use of fever reducing medications. Together we can help stop the spread of germs that may make you and others ill.
